Your role: 
As a Lead Engineer in our Digital domain, you will spearhead the creation of our next-generation software infrastructure. Your technical vision and expertise will be crucial in guiding the department toward building highly scalable and elastic solutions that serve millions. 

  

You will collaborate with partners on legacy systems while simultaneously designing and building new, cutting-edge platforms with your internal team. This role requires navigating both technical and team-based challenges—you will be instrumental in building your team's culture and capabilities while taking pride in crafting one of the most recognized digital experiences in the country. 

Your key responsibilities will include supporting teams in developing new IT products, such as an improved push notification system and enhancements to the core tracking platform. You will provide technical oversight, review critical decisions to ensure architectural consistency, and safeguard the quality of our digital services. A vital part of your role will be mentoring and coaching your fellow engineers, guiding them on technical best practices and career development. 

Your colleagues: 
You’ll be a key member of the Direct Online Regelen Platform team within the Digital Consumer domain. This team is central to how we present Track & Trace information to our customers. In this journey, you’ll work in a highly collaborative environment alongside other lead engineers, developers, testers, architects, analysts, and product owners to achieve our shared goals.

A competitive salary between €XXXX and €XXXX gross per month (scale 12), based on a 37-hour work week.

What you bring: 
You’re a tech-savvy visionary who is passionate about transforming complex logistical data into simple, intuitive solutions for our customers. You are skilled at navigating both the technical and human elements of software development and have a proven track record of leading teams to success. 

You also have the following qualifications: 

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Lead Engineer role or a similar leadership position, with at least 10 years of overall experience in IT. 

Expert-level proficiency in developing scalable software with C# and the .NET ecosystem. 

A deep, practical understanding of event-driven and microservices architectures. 

Strong, hands-on knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly its serverless technologies, which are core to our infrastructure. 

Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring technical teams, helping engineers grow their skills and careers.
