As Senior Data Governance Officer you will play a key role in strengthening our new Data Center of Excellence (CoE). You will be leading the adoption of the Federated Data Governance Operating Model and thereby directly impacting the strategy of PostNL!

Your role
You will play a key role in strengthening PostNL’s new Data Center of Excellence (CoE). Your mission is to lead the adoption of the Federated Data Governance Operating Model across the organization. You’ll translate strategy into practical ways of working, support domains in setting up governance roles, and embed data management processes into daily operations.
You’ll also run workshops to identify data products, map domains, and guide teams in documenting quality expectations. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll coach leaders, solve governance issues, and promote a data-driven culture through clear communication and structured support.
There’s a lot of pull from the business, everyone is coming towards us for advice and suggestions, which makes this role very interesting. You don’t need to constantly chase people, but they’re open for your knowledge and guidance – especially in light of the new AI First Strategy, you’ll play a critical role in the future of PostNL!

You’ll join the new to be established Data Center of Excellence, a growing team of data professionals dedicated to improving data maturity across PostNL. The team includes data managers, architects, and analysts who work closely with business domains and IT to deliver governance solutions that make a real impact.

- Salary between €5.200 and €7.559 gross per month at 37 hours per week. But 32 hours is possible too!
- Hybrid working is encouraged and you’ll have flexible working hours. Employees who work from home more than two days a week get an allowance of €45 net per month.
- 8% vacation pay and 25 vacation days on a full-time contract.
- Travel allowance for commuting from 6 km each way up to a maximum of 70 km each way, or an NS Business Card for business travel and commuting.

What you bring to the job
You are a structured, pragmatic problem-solver who brings clarity in complex environments. You also have the following qualities:
- 6+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, or a related data domain.
- Strong understanding of metadata, data quality, and governance best practices.
- Experience facilitating multi-stakeholder sessions or consulting engagements.
- Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across business and IT.
