Dit is jouw rol 
As senior Backend Developer you will become part of the Data Domain Team. The team is building multiple solutions that ensures that PostNL has all data available on Roll Container movements and Transport Services. We want to understand our consumers data needs and provide integration patterns that suit their use cases in. Like real time events for platform teams, or data marts for BI and analytics. Our final deliverable is what we call a data product. Because this way of working is quite new to PostNL, we set standards, develop best practices and enable and support other teams to apply the same way of working. 
 
The main goal is to support the composition of meaningful info and act as a single source of truth towards various consumers of the data on Roll Containers and Transport Services.  Examples can be reporting on stocklevels of rollcages, using historical data to train machine learining models or real time transport order updates for operations control.  Next to this functional role, you will also be given the opportunity to innovate and set standards together with other engineers in the department and the PostNL wide AWS Engineering community. In practice this means you can join charters with engineers from other teams that focus on a specific engineering problem. 

Jouw collega’s 
You will be working in a joint team that consists of two sister teams. One is focussing on the Roll Container domain, the other on Transport Services. But together you apply the same technology to build similar solutions. This joint team consist of one Data Product Owner, two Solution Consultant, a Lead Engineer and three other Backend Developers. Furthermore, you work closely together with engineers from other platform teams that consume our data products. 
You will be part of a multidisciplinary Scrum team and together you will be designing and developing the solutions. These are programmed in Typescript and you deploy and run it on an AWS Serverless infrastructure. You will be able to use modern technologies like CDK, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Lambda, DynamoDB, Postgress, Step Functions and API Gateway’s.

You are someone with multiple years of project experience as a developer and can develop a vision based upon solid experience. You are someone who likes to challenge the decisions made. The team is looking for someone who can lead a solid conversation with the team in order to work towards a suiting solution and someone who likes to share their knowledge in order to propel the team forwards. The team is very informal, high energy and has a very solid technical knowledge base.    
 
Verder herken je jezelf hierin:  
•    About 3 to 5 years of experience as a Backend Developer, where you have worked with the following technologies: TypeScript, GraphQL and AWS Serverless.   
•    Experience working in an agile surrounding   
•    You have an outside-in mindset and want to create products that are valuable for our consumers
