Why choose PostNL as your next step as an DevEx Engineer
Visible impact: Your work is immediately visible across PostNL engineering. You’ll build and improve tooling used by 400+ software developers and data specialists, reducing delivery friction, increasing reliability, and helping teams ship faster with confidence.
Challenge: Help us scale our DevEx platform to the next maturity level by driving toolchain standardization and AI readiness. You’ll solve complex integration challenges across CI/CD and developer tooling, build scalable and maintainable platform foundations, and make AI Coding adoption secure and practical for teams.
Great team spirit: You’ll collaborate in a multidisciplinary team that’s open to ideas, supports each other, and dares to innovate.
Freedom: Enjoy a hybrid way of working—from home and from our vibrant, modern office in the historic Stationspostgebouw next to Holland Spoor station.
Development opportunities: You’ll have plenty of room to grow—technically and personally—through the PostNL Academy and specialised training in AWS and software engineering.
This is your role
In this role, you work on the backbone of our DevEx platform. You improve the tools and services that our engineering teams use every day by managing and developing core engineering tools such as GitHub, JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube and GitHub Copilot. You make these tools stable, secure and easy to use. You also create and maintain integrations and automations that reduce manual work and help teams deliver software faster, safer and with more confidence.
You shape our DevEx platform so engineers can adopt AI Coding in a secure and practical way. You set and operate guardrails that support cloud and code delivery. You expand self‑service options for onboarding, access and provisioning. You also build automated compliance checks to keep the toolchain reliable and auditable. In everything you do, you work closely with engineers, security experts and colleagues across our Cloud Center of Excellence to create a smooth, modern and future‑ready development experience.
Your team
You’ll join the Developer Experience team, which consists of about 9 members. The team is divided into two areas: Tooling and Insights. You’ll be part of the Tooling team, focused on the tools our engineers use daily. We work in an informal and open atmosphere where curiosity, innovation, and knowledge-sharing are key.
