Dit is jouw rol

As Business Controller at CBS, you ensure the planning and control cycle for your area of responsibility, including managerial and segment reporting. You provide reliable management information and act as a strategic business partner to safeguard profitability and support decision-making. 

You’ll lead business case development, participate in cross-functional projects, and advise on benefit tracking and process optimization. You’ll also ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements, and maintain strong relationships across finance, IT, HR and supply chain teams.

You’ll be part of the Business Control team within CBS, reporting to the Manager Business Control. The team includes senior business controllers, senior commercial controllers and other business controllers. Together, you support departments like Cross Border Europe, PostNL International, Global Network Solutions and Strategy, all located at our Head Office in The Hague.

  • Salary between €4,521.29 and €6,402.21 gross per month at 37 hours per week. But 32 hours is possible too! 

  • Hybrid working is encouraged and you’ll have flexible working hours. After all, your work-life balance matters to us. Employees who work from home more than two days a week get an allowance of €45 net per month. 

  • 8% vacation pay and 25 vacation days on a full-time contract 

  • Travel allowance for commuting from 6 km each way up to a maximum of 70 km each way. 

  • An NS Business Card for business travel and commuting. 

  • A good pension plan through the PostNL pension fund. 

  • Laptop (Mac or Windows) and a smartphone

Dit breng je mee

You’re analytical, proactive and confident in challenging stakeholders at all levels. You communicate clearly and know how to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. 

You also have the following qualities: 

  • You have a Master’s degree in Finance or equivalent. 

  • You have 3–5 years of experience in an international finance environment. 

  • You have knowledge of business economics, project control and logistics. 

  • You’re skilled in Office applications and preferably advanced analytics tools. 

  • You have experience with activity-based costing and management.
